Engineered Biomass Transformation for Industry.
Sun Rise Bio Energy Pvt Ltd is committed to bridging the gap between agrarian biomass resources and modern industrial energy requirements through responsible manufacturing and quality-oriented densification.
Rooted in Mundargi, District Gadag, Karnataka.
Located in HM Nagar, Mundargi, within the agricultural heartland of Karnataka, Sun Rise Bio Energy Pvt Ltd was established with a clear mandate: to convert agrarian residue and biomass byproducts into high-value energy and carbon products that support industrial decarbonization.
The agricultural belts of southern India generate millions of tonnes of crop residue every season. When discarded or burned openly, this material creates localized air pollution and wastes valuable embedded energy. Through structured procurement networks and state-of-the-art mechanical processing, we channel this material into reliable industrial supplies.
"We view biomass not as agricultural waste, but as an underutilized renewable hydrocarbon resource awaiting precision densification."
Empowering Industry with Scalable Biofuels
To manufacture and supply dependable, high-density biomass fuels and functional carbon products that enable industrial enterprises to achieve steady thermal performance, reduce dependency on fossil coal, and participate in circular resource economics.
Advancing Regional Circular Energy
To be a trusted regional benchmark in biomass transformation—recognized for rigorous product consistency, transparent commercial relationships, and responsible stewardship of agricultural resources.
The Science of Biomass Densification & Carbonization
Our manufacturing approaches are grounded in established scientific principles recognized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and USDA.
Mechanical Densification
Raw biomass residues have low bulk densities (60–150 kg/m³). Under high pressure mechanical compaction, natural lignin softens and acts as an organic binder, creating densified briquettes and pellets with bulk densities exceeding 600 kg/m³, dramatically reducing transport overhead.
Oxygen-Limited Pyrolysis
By thermochemically converting biomass in a low-oxygen reactor, volatile compounds are driven off, converting unstable plant matter into recalcitrant biochar—a porous carbon skeleton that remains chemically stable in agricultural soils for extended durations.
Thermal Activation
Controlled oxidation of carbonized biomass using steam or gas at elevated temperatures develops a vast network of internal sub-nanometer pores, creating activated carbon with thousands of square meters of adsorption area per gram for water and gas filtration.
